| The James Dickey Society,
founded in 1990, is devoted to publication of James Dickey Newsletter, and to
discussion, dissemination, and interpretative scholarship and research
concerning the works of James Dickey, National Book Award Winner and
Poet-in-Residence at the Library of Congress for two terms. The
Constitution of the Society has now been formalized. Although a
subscription to James Dickey
Newsletter
automatically includes membership, all others may participate as well.
For additional information, contact Editor William B. Thesing (thesingw@gwm.sc.edu), Chair
Randall Smith (rsmith@belhaven.edu),

The James Dickey Society organizes and chairs
sessions at recognized literary conferences such as the American
Literature Association (ALA) conference held annually in the Northeast
(Baltimore) and the Southwest (San Diego) respectively; the South
Atlantic Modern Language Association SAMLA (Atlanta and other cities);
and The Society for the Study of Southern Literature.
